Feng Shui, the art of placement
Feng Shui is pronounced fung Suai and is the art of placement, or art of fluidity. Its literal translation is wind and water and is an ancient Chinese method of designing cities, houses and interiors. Feng Shui aims to maximize the movement of chi – The strength and energy universal life present throughout our environment.
According to feng shui philosophy, The Just as fresh air and the water feeding our bodies, does the chi which feeds fresh and clean our homes and lives. When the chi through our space is blocked, weak or ill channeled, can harm our health, creativity, relationships, the money or work. Feng shui aims to achieve the chi cross our space with grace, like a gentle breeze or a cool stream.
When chi is blocked becomes stale and stagnant, like a pond overgrown with algae and dead leaves. Perhaps we feel tired, exhausted, depressed, unable to concentrate, with difficulties in moving forward in our lives. When chi flows too strength, becomes a hurricane or flooding, causing instability, potential crises and an environment where we have to do a great effort to move forward.
According to art design, bad feng shui can also impair the workplace. A chi blocked or accelerated can create a miscommunication between management and employees of a company, conflicts between teams, difficulty in attracting customers, the loss of credibility and income, the commercial failure of a business and a lack of ideas and new initiatives.
